Patients First
Nursing at BIDMC also participates in Patients First, a first of its kind statewide quality and safety initiative sponsored by the Massachusetts Hospital Association and the Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives.
Through Patients First, Massachusetts hospitals are working to reduce medical errors and promote a safe and supportive work environment, publicly report staffing plans that meet patients’ needs, alleviate shortages of nurses and other caregivers, and work collaboratively with others to ensure access to safe, high-quality care for all.
At the core of this initiative is providing patients with information to assist in making health care decisions.
