Hospital-wide Measures

Some measures are service specific. They tell us about the quality and safety provided in a specific clinical area, such as heart care or orthopaedics. Other measures are hospital-wide and are not dependent upon whether the patient is receiving heart care or orthopaedic care. Nursing care at BIDMC is one example of a hospital-wide measure. Infections are another example. The following information gives you an idea of how we are doing in both areas. We will be adding to hospital-wide measures in the coming months.
