Each year, over 500 patients are treated for stroke symptoms at BIDMC.
Since 2008, BIDMC has been recognized by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health as a Primary Stroke Service Provider. With strong, coordinated approaches to care, BIDMC's Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Radiology, Lab Services and Nursing staff work together to ensure safe, effective and efficient services.
BIDMC actively participates in the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association's "Get with the Guidelines®-Stroke" program - a national collaborative aimed at ensuring best practices and strong outcomes for all Stroke patients.
