Walk for Heart Health

BIDMC is getting fit by walking and we want you to join us!
In the Walking Club section of the BIDMC web site, you’ll find special information on how to begin – whether you are starting a walking program on your own, with friends, neighbors or coworkers. Walking has many health benefits, it’s easy to do, and it’s free!
You’ll find articles, videos and podcasts on topics like how to stick to your goal, motivating your kids to get fit, and tips on how to get the most out of your walk.
Print out a diary sheet so you can keep track of your progress, sign up for a charity walk, or check out walking trails in and around Boston. You can also e-mail us your progress and we’ll post it on this site to help inspire others. If you are a business that has a formal walking program for staff, we want to hear about it—and if you’d like information on how to kick-off an employee walking program, we’ve got information on that, too.
We are proud to partner with the American Heart Association and Children’s Hospital Boston on this important campaign. We also thank the Joslin Diabetes Center, Hebrew Senior Life and our media partners, Channel 5, WTKK radio and WROR radio.
Welcome to the walking club!
