After Your Stay
After your hospital stay, procedure or clinic visit to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, you will undoubtedly have some questions about your health, recovery and next steps. Your doctor, nurse or a member of our medical staff will give you instructions before you go home.
If you have any questions before you leave, please don't be afraid to ask or clarify any concerns you have. After you go home, you might have some additional questions that you had not thought of before. Do not hesitate to call your doctor or the contact person given to you at the time of your visit to answer those questions.

About Your Hospital Bill: You may have questions about your insurance or bill that do not arise until you go home, or possibly weeks and months after your visit. Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center wants to help make this process easier for you so that you can focus on your health and recovery.
Request Your Medical Records: Medical records are kept 20 years after the your discharge or final treatment. You have the right to review or, for a fee, obtain copies of their your records.
Sending a "Thank You": There are a number of ways to show appreciation for the care you received at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
