Approximately 1,000 cancer patients, their families and friends, and BIDMC staff attended BIDMC's 9th annual Celebration of Life event on June 9 at Harvard Medical School.
Associated with National Cancer Survivors Day, the day-long event featured talks by medical professionals, a panel of survivors who shared their inspirational stories, workshops on new directions of research and treatment for many kinds of cancer, and on issues related to living well with the disease.
Cancer survivors shared their art in a show and silent auction and their writing in a published book.
