BOSTON -
Selena E. Heman-Ackah, MD, MBA, has joined the
Division of Otolaryngology in the
Department of Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Heman-Ackah comes to BIDMC from the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at New York University in New York, where she recently completed her fellowship in neurotology.
At BIDMC, Heman-Ackah is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients with chronic ear disease, hearing loss (congenital or acquired), tumors of the ear and cerebellopontine angle, vertigo, tinnitus and facial paralysis.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati-College of Medicine in Cincinnati, OH, Heman-Ackah completed her internship and residency in Otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN.
Heman-Ackah's research interests include preventive therapies for acquired hearing loss and advances in cochlear implantation.
