BIDMC Families - Medical training is challenging for doctors and for their loved ones. To help us through this period, a group of volunteers and members of the BIDMC staff have created BIDMC Families, a social network for the spouses and partners of medical interns, residents and fellows. If you are a spouse or partner of a medical intern, resident or fellow, come find us on www.bigtent.com/groups/bidmcfamily or email email@example.com to get involved.
HMS Office of Work and Family - the Harvard Office of Work and Family (OWF) provides information, resources, referrals, educational programs and support to those combining work lives with family concerns. Care.com - As the name implies, BIDMC’s program offers eligible employees backup childcare or adult care services for those times when regular childcare or adult care arrangements are not available. Times like when your child is mildly ill, there is a gap in nanny care, a parent must travel for business or work late hours, holidays where a regular day care center is closed, or between camp and school schedules. For more information please call 855-781-1303.
Lactation Pump Room - If you wish to access one of the rooms upon returning to work from maternity leave, please contact Althea Lawrence at x7-4695 or email@example.com. If you have any questions or concerns or if you are having trouble breastfeeding or pumping, the Lactation Consultants on the East Campus (7-5765) would be happy to speak with you.
Parent Connection - Welcoming a new baby into the home can be both an exciting and overwhelming experience, especially for first-time parents. Because you may have many questions about caring for your baby, the Medical Center offers the Parent Connection, a free service for first-time parents who deliver here at BIDMC.
