Gastroenterology Fellowship Training Program
The Division of Gastroenterology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School is happy to invite your application for our Gastroenterology Fellowship Training Program for the period July, 2010 to June, 2013. The goal of our fellowship program is to recruit and train talented physicians who are committed to a career in academic gastroenterology and hepatology.
We will use ERAS (www.aamc.org/eras) for submission of application materials; we will also participate in the National Residency Matching Prorgam (www.nrmp.org).
Training opportunities for fellows are further enhanced by access to a variety of specialized clinical and research centers focusing on: inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, pancreatic disorders, ERCP/therapeutic endoscopy, gastrointestinal motility disorders and gastrointestinal infectious diseases.
The first year of our fellowship program is devoted to training and experience in clinical gastroenterology and hepatology. An additional 6 months of clinical training is provided during the course of the following 2 years of the fellowship. The remaining 18 months of fellowship are devoted to a mentored program of training tailored to each individual fellow’s career goals. Our faculty encompasses a broad range of clinical and research interests and expertise and will provide one-to-one mentoring for candidates wishing to pursue careers in any of the three majors academic tracks i.e. clinician/educator, clinical investigator, or laboratory investigator.
