Outpatient and Inpatient Trainings

Outpatient Training involves the following: 

Two year-long continuity clinics:

Diabetes

• Based at the Joslin Diabetes Center
• Optional to continue through the second and third years of the program

General Endocrinology

• Based at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
• Mandatory to continue through the second and third years of the program

Rotations through subspecialty clinics

• Diabetes and Pregnancy
• Diabetes Subspecialties - Ophthalmology & Podiatry
• Diabetes Outpatient Intensive Treatment Program (D.O.I.T. - provides comprehensive diabetes evaluations and education in a group setting )
• Lipids
• Metabolic Bone & Mineral
• Nuclear Medicine
• Obesity - Medical
• Obesity - Surgical
• Pediatric Endocrinology
• Reproductive Endocrinology

Inpatient Training involves the following:

Nine months of consult services at BIDMC:

• The BIDMC Diabetes Consult Service covers Diabetes Consult Services for the busy medical, surgical and psychiatric inpatient services at the BIDMC
• The BIDMC Endocrine Consult Service encompasses both General Endocrine Consults for all inpatient services and provides Diabetes Consultative Services to obstetrics for the management of diabetes and pregnancy
