One month in Joslin's DOIT program: This program provides comprehensive diabetes evaluations and education in a group setting

One month devoted to clinical subspecialty electives related to the care of the diabetic patient

Ophthalmology

Sexual dysfunction

Podiatry

Outpatient nutrition consults for diabetes

Inpatient nutrition consults for enteral and parenteral nutrition

Exercise Physiology

Diabetes Education

Neurology

Nephrology

Vascular Medicine

General endocrinology continuity clinic through the second and third years of the program


 

Inpatient Training


Eight months of consult services divided between the BIDMC and the Brigham and Women's Hospital

The BIDMC Diabetes consult service covers diabetes consult services for the busy medical, surgical and psychiatric inpatient services at the BIDMC

The BIDMC Endocrine consult service encompasses both general endocrine consults for all inpatient services and provides diabetes consultative services to obstetrics for the management of diabetes and pregnancy

Brigham and Women's Endocrine consult service covers all endocrine and diabetes consult
