Fellowship Project: Development of a Wiki for the Division of Endocrinology

Dr. Diane Stafford is the Training Program Director and Assistant Clinical Director for the Division of Endocrinology at Children's Hospital Boston and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Stafford received her bachelor's degree in English and American Literature from Harvard College. She received her medical degree from the University of Connecticut Health Center School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford. She came to Harvard Medical School and Children's Hospital Boston for fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology and then joined the physician staff. She has served as Associate Program Director for the fellowship in Endocrinology for five years and will assume the post of Program Director in July.

As a Rabkin Fellow, Dr. Stafford developed a website designed to improve education and knowledge management for the members of the Division of Endocrinology. The "teamsite" will allow users to view materials, but also contribute to a variety of areas and develop new pages as the need allows. Specific clinically-based educational pages designed for medical students, residents and fellows provide overviews, relevant literature and lectures on common topics in Endocrinology which can be accessed through the Children's Hospital internet. The site also contains a journal library, patient care information and clinical reference materials. The site has been opened to the Division of Endocrinology and associated residents and students with further materials planned for release with the new academic year.
