Developing your Presentation Skills
This is a unique workshop designed to help faculty develop and hone their lecturing skills. Participants in the workshop prepared and presented an 8-minute lecture to their workshop colleagues and faculty facilitators. Together we identified the strengths of the presentation and areas of needed improvement. Participants had the opportunity to identify particular areas of lecturing about which they would like to receive feedback. Each lecture was videotaped for later self-review and reflection. Workshop enrollment was limited and was scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Workshop led by: Terry Maratos-Flier, MD, Director, Academic Careers and Faculty Development and Lori Newman, MEd, Acting Director, Faculty Programs in Medical Education.
