Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and its predecessor institutions were founded to provide the most advanced and the most compassionate care to patients who were, at the time, routinely refused care elsewhere in Boston. Today we proudly honor that tradition of the best care for all.
Here at BIDMC we provide the best internal medicine training in the country. Our outstanding and highly innovative training, led by educators of national stature, occurs in a clinical environment where we strive constantly to provide the kind of care that each of us would want our own family members to receive.
Our training programs provide exposure to the full spectrum of medical problems, in a wide variety of populations. We offer an absolutely superb array of research opportunities, with world leaders in all areas of medicine. We tailor the training program to the needs and career goals of each trainee, so that each leaves here equipped to become a leader in his or her chosen area of medicine.
