Tribute Giving
Thousands of people each year use our Tribute Giving Program to celebrate, honor, or memorialize loved ones by making gifts in their name.
From tributes that mark an important occasion to memorials that perpetuate the legacy of someone who has passed away, these gifts are a significant source of support for the Medical Center's innovative programs.
- Gifts in Celebration
- A Gift in Celebration is a unique opportunity to let family members, friends, or colleagues know that you are thinking of them. These gifts are often made to mark an important event like the birth of a child or grandchild, a wedding, anniversary, graduation, retirement, holiday, or another memorable occasion. BIDMC will send a letter to the individual being honored to acknowledge your thoughtfulness.
- Gifts in Honor
- A Gift in Honor can acknowledge the work of a clinician who deserves extra recognition for his or her compassion and commitment. These gifts offer individual grateful patients and their families the chance to show their appreciation for the outstanding care offered by a physician, nurse, or other care provider. BIDMC will send a letter to the individual(s) being honored.
- Gifts in Memory
- A Gift in Memory is a very special way for family and friends to express their sympathy while helping BIDMC advance health care in the community and beyond. Many people choose to make these gifts in lieu of flowers. The Medical Center will acknowledge all donations given in memory by a letter to the next of kin with an expression of sympathy.
When you make your gift, please provide the name of the person being honored, as well as the type of occasion (such as birthday or anniversary). Please indicate the names and addresses of those you would like BIDMC to notify of your gift, such as the honoree themselves or their family members.
