Sidney R. Baer Foundation

During the summer of 2007, the Sidney R. Baer Foundation awarded BIDMC $450,000 to develop a unique, community-based Prodrome Treatment and Education Program for individuals ages 13 to 25 who are at risk for psychosis.

The PTEP program is building community investment and skills in early detection, referral, and intervention, as well as creating positive options for prevention. The program thereby contributes to one of the overall goals of BIDMC's Department of Psychiatry, which is to promote regional clinical service reform that includes a developmentally-sensitive and phase-specific continua of care for at-risk (prodromal) youth.
