CEO's Innovation Fund
As an academic medical center, we rely on philanthropy—now more than ever. In this dynamic health care environment, flexible support is necessary to foster the innovative programs and ideas that will strengthen Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and continue to propel our efforts as a world-renowned hospital. For CEO Kevin Tabb, M.D., philanthropy is a top priority as we continue to make our mark on the field of medicine.
With this in mind, BIDMC has created the CEO's Innovation Fund. Charitable gifts to the fund will be directed by Dr. Tabb to meet BIDMC’s highest priority needs, respond quickly to emerging opportunities, and invest in promising areas. It will also be used to spur interdisciplinary collaborations that advance medicine, health care delivery, and progress on regional, national, and global health care issues. Dr. Tabb works closely with his senior leadership team and faculty advisors to invest the critical philanthropic support contributed to the CEO's Innovation Fund into carefully selected initiatives.
“Now is the time that we need philanthropy the most to do the things that are unique and special to our institution.” – Kevin Tabb, M.D.
The CEO's Innovation Fund has already supported a number of programs, including a pilot project in the new Center for Healthcare Delivery Science to advance patient safety; and Mini Med School, an academic program designed to help Boston-area residents improve their health, learn about the latest advances in medical research, and understand how to best navigate the health care system.
