On the Road to Recovery

Jim Laguerre and Tom TinlinBefore he arrived at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in April, former Massachusetts highway administrator Tom Tinlin had had a splitting headache for a week. Then one afternoon, in the middle of a fundraiser where he was working as a volunteer, he felt a snapping sensation in the back of his head, which he would later learn was a life-threatening aneurysm. Tinlin’s wife, Heather, rushed him to the BIDMC Emergency Department.

To find out what happened to Tinlin, read the full story in The Boston Globe.

For more on Tinlin (right) and Jim Laguerre (left), the BIDMC security officer who assisted in his care, and their appearance at Fenway Park, read BIDMC’s story.
