Gifts from your IRA

The IRA Charitable Rollover allows individuals age 70½ or older to directly transfer up to $100,000 per year from an IRA account to BIDMC, without having to count the transfers as income for federal income tax purposes. This transfer also counts toward your minimum required distribution on your IRA accounts. Please click here to learn more.

Planned Gifts You can also support BIDMC through our Planned Giving Program. Learn more about how to create a gift for BIDMC through your estate plan or by creating a life income gift. Life income gifts serve a dual purpose: They provide philanthropic support for BIDMC while also providing both a charitable income tax deduction and an income stream to you and/or your loved ones.
