2010 Heart Walk

Put on your walking shoes and join the BIDMC team for a stroll along the Charles River in the "Boston Start! Heart Walk" sponsored by the American Heart Association. Families, friends and pets are all welcome!

In gratitude for the American Heart Association's (AHA) generosity to our cardiovascular research, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is participating in the Boston Start! Heart Walk on Saturday, September 11.

If you're able, please join our doctors and employees in walking 1, 3 or 6 miles on the Esplanade to support the AHA's research and education programs. Heart disease survivors will receive a red cap and be honored in the yearly red-cap salute.

Why Walk? It's good for your health, it's a good cause and there will be plenty of fun activities for the whole family, including an appearance at the BIDMC tent by legendary Red Sox pitcher Jim Lonborg, honorary chairman of the BIDMC Heart Walk team!
