Transplant Financial Coordinator
The transplant financial coordinator works with other members of the Transplant Institute team, patients and families to coordinate the financial aspects needed to support the transplant process, from evaluation through postoperative care. The financial coordinator works collaboratively with the insurance companies and BIDMC financial services to obtain authorization for a transplant and to identify out-of-pocket expense for the patient. The financial coordinator oversees the process of listing patients for transplant with the United Network for Organ Sharing.
