Living Donor Nurse Coordinator
The Transplant Institute has a dedicated living donor coordinator whose chief responsibility is to manage care and services for our living donors. This nurse coordinator works with clinicians at the Transplant Institute to support living donors with education and guidance, explaining the risks and benefits of the surgical procedure, protecting their rights and privacy, and ensuring complete confidentiality.
Tracy Brann joined the BIDMC Transplant Institute in February 2011 as Living Donor Coordinator. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of New Hampshire in 1994. Prior to joining the team at the Transplant Institute, she worked as a Liver and Kidney Transplant Coordinator, working with both pediatric and adult populations. Her previous experience includes staff nursing with transplant, vascular, orthopedic and general surgical populations. A Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator, Tracy is a member of the North American Transplant Coordinator Organization and the International Transplant Nurses Society.
