Welcome to the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery within the CardioVascular Institute. We welcome and
referrals for the treatments described below and will work closely with your primary physician to be sure that you receive the best care available anywhere for your specific problem.
Comprehensive Care
Our world renowned Division -- one of the oldest of its kind in the country -- offers comprehensive care for all disorders of the circulatory system including arteries and veins. Our Boston-based
specialists, all Harvard Medical School teaching faculty, are highly skilled experts in the treatment of vascular diseases and nationally prominent researchers and educators training the next generation of vascular surgeons. We take great pride in providing state-of-the-art care in a personalized and compassionate manner.
Special Services
The Division evaluates and treats a wide variety of
vascular disorders, including
aneurysms,
carotid artery disease,
peripheral artery disease, deep venous thrombosis and
varicose veins. In close affiliation with the Joslin Diabetes Center, our physicians have pioneered treatments for
circulatory problems due to diabetes. We also work closely with our highly regarded Division of Podiatry, which has pioneered many innovative treatments for diabetic foot problems.
Open and Endovascular Surgery
When
surgery is needed, we offer both conventional open surgery and minimally invasive (endovascular) techniques. We are committed to finding the most appropriate treatment approach for you and to helping you understand in the clinical issues when making your choice. The CVI's uniquely integrated structure means that renowned cardiac surgeons and cardiologists collaborate closely with our vascular surgeons to ensure you get the most comprehensive care available anywhere.
