Anurag (Andy) K. Das, M.D., FACS

Dr. Das grew up in Syosset, Long Island, NY and received his B.S. and M.D. degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL through the Honors Program in Medical Education. He completed his surgical and urological specialty training at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. After finishing his training, Dr. Das served on active duty as Chief of Urology at USAF Hospital Kirtland in Albuquerque, NM holding the rank of Major. He was at Albany Medical College and the Albany Medical Center Hospital from January 1995 to August 2003 and left his position as Associate Professor of Surgery/Urology to become Director of the Center for Neurourology and Continence at BIDMC. Dr. Das has over thirty publications in urology journals and over one hundred presentations at national and international urology meetings. He is one of the pioneers in the field of neuromodulation having performed the first sacral neurostimulator implant in the Northeast. He is board certified in urology and a member of numerous prestigious medical societies including the American College of Surgeons, the International Continence Society, the Society for female urology and urodynamics, the American Urogynecology Society and others.
