Patient Referrals Welcome
The Division of Podiatry welcomes referrals. Continuity of care is of particular importance to BIDMC podiatry providers. The referring physician is always a key member of the care team and is consistently updated on the patient’s progress.
Well-Coordinated Patient Care
BIDMC podiatrists stay in close contact and share test results, diagnoses, care plans, treatment outcomes and follow-up recommendations. Such close relationships with referring physicians ensure well-coordinated patient care and an easy transition back to the care of referring physicians.

To schedule a patient referral appointment, either call the Doctor-to-Doctor Line or the Division of Podiatry.
Doctor-to-Doctor Line: 617-667-2020
The Doctor-to-Doctor Line has been specifically set up at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for physicians who would like to refer a patient. This line is answered by a triage nurse who directs the call to appropriate party, promptly. To schedule a patient referral using the Doctor-to-Doctor Line, call 617-667-2020.
