About Us
The Division of Podiatry is a high volume, specialty practice that sees nearly 12,000 patients per year and performs over 800 foot procedures of all varieties and complexities. It is comprised of 6 highly qualified and surgically trained podiatric physicians who are all board certified in foot and ankle surgery.
The mission of the division is to provide you with high quality, tertiary foot and ankle care in a compassionate environment. We will also do our best to provide this care in a timely fashion.
A Multidisciplinary Approach
BIDMC’s full-time, board-certified podiatric surgeons collaborate with specialists in areas such as vascular surgery, orthopaedics, plastic and reconstructive surgery, infectious disease and diabetology, as well as with nurses, orthotic technicians, physical therapists and pain management specialists to provide patients with the combined resources needed to treat and manage their particular lower extremity conditions. These care providers work within the division’s three specialty centers of care.
Clinical Expertise
Our podiatric surgeons are nationally and internationally known for their expertise in diabetic foot care and reconstructive surgery. They are regularly invited to speak at medical and surgical conferences, and have published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. Several of our surgeons hold leadership positions in national organizations such as the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) and the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
Convenience
In addition to our main practice setting at the medical center, the same level of exceptional care is available in community settings in Cambridge, Chelsea, Lexington, Randolph, Stoughton and Waltham. Multiple locations bring our services to the patient, eliminating their need to travel into Boston.
