Located at the Longwood Medical Eye Center at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, we carry out carry out important clinical research studies which are pushing forward the frontiers of knowledge in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery. This web site is designed to highlight the important clinical research studies and collaborations the Retina Research Center undertakes. Here, you can read about our ongoing clinical studies, meet the research team, access results from our various research projects, and read papers we have published in major ophthalmology journals.
Our research activities are supported by the Department of Surgery at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, and research grants from the NIH, the Macula Society, and generous patients and benefactors.
