Regular Checkups

Bicuspid valve disease varies in its progression.  In most cases, your doctor will recommend regular checkups and test.

Monitor Progression of Disease

During the regular checkups, your doctor can to monitor any progression of a bicuspid aortic valve and whether it is causing problems such as stenosis or insufficiency.

Determine If Treatment Is Necessary

No treatment is usually necessary unless symptoms develop. However, if your symptoms progress or become severe, your doctor may recomment treatment including medical therapy or interventional and surgical options, as used for treating aortic stenosis and insufficiency.
