Linda Della Porta, OTR/L, CHT
Linda Della Porta received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from University of Buffalo in 1992 and completed a fellowship in hand therapy at the Philadelphia Hand Center in 2001. Linda has been on staff at BIDMC since 2001. She is a Certified Hand Therapist and specializes in occupational therapy management of patients with hand and upper extremity injuries but she also sees patients with neurological conditions and is a member of the ALS team. Linda completed kripalu yoga training and is a certified Yoga instructor. Her yoga training has given her an appreciation for teaching patients how to be aware of their posture and movement, and helps her treat patients with a holistic approach. She teaches yoga classes at the BeWell Center, and leads chair yoga workshops. Linda also volunteers for www.yogahope.org providing yoga classes to women living in transitional settings such as safe houses and substance abuse treatment centers.

Scott Hamelin, OTR/L
Scott Hamelin graduated from Quinnipiac College with a degree in Occupational Therapy in 2001, and received a certificate in Rehabilitation of the Upper Extremity from Tufts University in 2008. Before coming to BIDMC, he worked in a rehabilitation hospital treating patients with orthopedic, neurological and complex medical conditions. Scott has worked at BIDMC since 2003 and splits his time between the inpatient and outpatient services and in both settings his treatment focus includes patients with orthopedic injuries, neurological condition, post-surgical hand and upper extremity trauma.

Debra Jefferson, OTR/L, CHT
Debra Jefferson is an Occupational Therapist and has been on staff at BIDMC since 2003. She received a Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University with special interest in hand therapy.  She received her certification as a hand therapy specialist in 2009.   She sees outpatients with a variety of complex hand injuries and upper extremity trauma, and also is a member of the Parkinson’s team. Debra is a clinical instructor for occupational therapy students from Boston University. Personal interests include yoga and gymnastics training.

Nancy Roe, OTR/L
Nancy Roe is an Occupational Therapist III and was on staff at BIDMC from 2000 to 2006, then rejoined us in 2007. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from Washington University. Since her return to BIDMC, she has focused her practice on patients with hand injuries and upper extremity trauma. She also serves as ergonomic consultant, performing work site ergonomic assessments and education to BIDMC employees.
