Biosketch:
Graduated from Boston College, B.S. Biology cum laude, in 1967 and from Tufts Medical School in 1971. He served as an intern at Mt. Auburn Hospital in 1971 and a resident in diagnostic radiology at Massachusetts Hospital 1972-1975 and was certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1975. Following this he served a fellowship in angiography and ultrasound at the Deaconess and subsequently joined the Deaconess Radiology staff. Distinctions include: election to AOA as well as Fellowship in the American College of Radiology and the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound.
Major research interests include: ultrasound guided hepatic cryosurgery, intraoperative and laparoscopic ultrasonagraphy, and prostate cancer. He serves on the Editorial Boards of Surgical Oncology and the Journal of Clinical Ultrasound and as a Reviewer for many other scientific journals. He is past president of the Massachusetts Radiological Society and the New England Ray Society, and is a member of the Commission on Ultrasound for the ACR.
