Dr. Mehta is a magna cum laude graduate in Biology from Adelphi University, Garden City, NY and Tufts Medical School, Boston, MA. Her postdoctoral studies center around the Boston area and include an internship in internal medicine at the Faulkner Hospital, a residency in diagnostic radiology at Beth Israel Hospital (Chief resident, 1996), and a fellowship in women's imaging here at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She joined the BIDMC radiology staff in 1998. In 2001, she also completed a Masters in Public Health at the Harvard School of Public Health with a concentration in clinical effectiveness. Dr. Mehta is actively conducting research in women's health issues from cost effective studies to mammography and fetal imaging.
