Dr. Slanetz is a cum laude graduate of Harvard Medical School. She also earned a Masters in Public Health (MPH) in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health before beginning her postdoctoral training. She served as an intern in internal medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and completed radiology residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital. Specializing in mammography, she completed a clinical fellowship in breast imaging also at MGH. She has gone on to hold leadership positions in both teaching and breast imaging at Tufts University School of Medicine, MIT, and Boston University School of Medicine. In 2008, she was honored by being appointed a Fellow of the American College Radiology (FACR).
