Fingerprinting

The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Public Safety Department offers fingerprinting services to those members of the BIDMC community who may need them for employment, security clearances or medical registration purposes. Fingerprints may be taken 24 hours a day, seven days a week by any police officer of the department. Those requesting this service may wish to call ahead to make sure an officer is available to take them. There is no charge for this service.

Applicants must present a valid picture ID (driver's license or passport) in addition to their BIDMC employee ID. All fingerprint cards should be printed clearly in black ink. If fingerprints are being taken for an outside agency the requesting agency will usually provide the card to applicants. Fingerprint cards relating directly to official medical center business are kept on file at the Public Safety office.

***Please Note: The Public Safety Department can assist in taking fingerprints for you requested by outside agencies as long as the requesting agency provides you with fingerprint cards. Once taken by a Public Safety Police Officer you will want to contact the requesting agency directly regarding processing and getting the cards back to them. The Public Safety Department cannot directly process fingerprints.
