Visiting Clergy

Effective April 1, 2009

Clergy are welcome to visit with patients who are members of their congregation. The Department of Pastoral Care & Education will subsidize 2 hours of parking for visiting clergy. Proper attire, clergy identification, and parking ticket must be presented at the parking cashier stations when signing out.

We welcome clergy to visit with patients who are members of their congregations, however, ask that the following guidelines are respected:

  • Provide proper identification: either a clergy business card, or a valid drivers license and a valid work phone number
  • When applicable, wear proper professional attire for your religious tradition
  • Fill out all fields of the sign-out sheet, printed legibly

Please note that subsidized parking will not be issued for the following:

  • For personal medical appointments of clergy or for visiting family
  • More than twice a week
  • To people without proper identification or professional dress

Any questions you have regarding this policy can be referred to the Department of Pastoral Care & Education at (617) 667-3030 who assumes the cost for all clergy parking.
