Patricia Folcarelli, RN, PhD, Jean Gillis, RN, MS, and Gila R. Kriegel, MD,
of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Dorothy Flood McWeeney, BSN, RN, of Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham, were recently recognized as leaders in quality with the Rx for Excellence Award from the Massachusetts Medical Law Report.
The Rx for Excellence Award honors best practices in safety, quality, and risk management in health care. Both BIDMC and BID-Needham have always made quality and safety a major priority.
"Making sure our patients get the best care in the safest environment possible takes true teamwork," commented Folcarelli. "No one does it alone so we share this honor with everyone at BIDMC."
McWeeney agrees. "We are a team that works hard every day to provide the highest level of quality and safety for our patients. Our goal is to always provide an excellent patient experience."
The winners of the Rx for Excellence Award were selected by a group of leaders in the Massachusetts health care community, along with the editorial staff of the Massachusetts Medical Law Report, a state-wide publication for medical professionals about legal news and risk management.
