Needham, MA—Thanks to the generosity of so many in our community Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital raised nearly $300,000 to benefit the hospital’s new wing. The hospital’s 11th annual Gala was one of the best attended to date with 420 people.

“We are grateful to our friends, our neighbors, and everyone in the community for their support,” said President and Chief Executive Officer Jeff Liebman. “I think everyone is very excited about the recent opening of the new Emergency Department and the new inpatient unit.”

Gala co-chairs Kimberly and Michael Lombard are equally grateful to everyone who supported the event.

“There was a definite buzz in the air that night,” said Kimberly Lombard. “I think a lot of people had been to the grand opening of the new wing in October and were so impressed that they were eager to come out for a fun and important night to benefit the hospital.”

“We were so proud to be a part of this wonderful community event,” remarked Michael Lombard. “It was great to see the genuine support for such an important anchor in our community.”

Funds were raised through several sponsorships, including $25, 000 from Briarwood Rehabilitation Center, and live and silent auctions the evening of the event.
