Needham, MA — Gastroenterologist Sonal M. Ullman, MD, has joined Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital and the long-term practice of gastroenterologist Steven B. Cohen, MD.
“Dr. Ullman is a wonderful addition to our staff,” said Dr. Cohen. She has a great interest in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. Dr. Ullman also has a wide range of experience in liver and pancreatic disease, GI motility and general gastroenterology.”
Dr. Ullman is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her clinical fellowship in gastroenterology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and her internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center. Dr. Ullman is board certified in gastroenterology.
Dr. Ullman was recently an attending physician in gastroenterology at Emerson Hospital in Concord and Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer. She is a member of the American gastrointestinal Association, the American College of Gastroenterology and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
Dr. Ullman has received many honors and distinctions including a Teaching Recognition Award from Harvard Medical School and the Presidential Poster Award from the American College of Gastroenterology.
