Needham, MA —Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital invites you to the grand opening of its new wing on Saturday, October 3, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The day will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, tours of the new Emergency Department and the new inpatient unit, health screenings, and the ever-popular Teddy bear clinic for children. A trolley will be available from Needham center to the hospital and back throughout the day.
To mark this auspicious occasion we are also asking you, our patients and friends, to share with us your most memorable moments spent at The Glover/The Deaconess Glover/Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham over the past several years. Your stories are the hospital’s history and form the foundation from which it keeps growing. So try to think back to when you had your children here, or when a doctor, nurse, or staff member made a real difference in your life, or simply a moment at the hospital that you will never forget.

Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham (BID-Needham) is a 41-bed acute care community hospital that has served Boston area residents continuously for more than 90 years. This community hospital, previously known as The Glover Hospital, joined Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in 2002. The hospital provides outpatient and inpatient services, complete diagnostic facilities, a full-service emergency department and all other hospital-based
services, including cardiology and general surgery. All departments are staffed by BIDMC and BID-Needham physicians.
