Dr. Savenor is a hand surgeon with Needham Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He is a graduate of Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Savenor is an assistant professor, orthopedic surgery, at Boston University School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (surgery of the hand).
This year's Boston magazine Top Doctors’ list was taken from a survey conducted by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd, a healthcare researcher that also publishes America's Top Doctors, a guide to the country's top 1% of medical specialists.
Castle Connolly's physician-led research team uses mail and phone surveys and electronic ballots to ask physicians and the medical leadership of leading hospitals to identify highly skilled, exceptional doctors by asking the question: "If you or a loved one needed a doctor in your specialty, whom would you choose?"
About Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham (BID-Needham) is a licensed acute care community hospital affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston. BID-Needham has served residents in Needham, Dedham, Dover, Westwood, Medfield and other surrounding communities for more than 90 years. In 2002, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Deaconess-Glover Hospital formalized their long-standing, collaborative relationship with a direct affiliation.
