Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham unveil plans to break ground in Spring 2013 for a new, comprehensive cancer center and surgical pavilion at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham. It is scheduled to open in Spring 2014.
This new, 30,000-square foot cancer center and surgical pavilion will be home to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's world renowned cancer care, including radiation oncology services previously provided at BIDMC's facility in Waltham. This program, combined with cancer services BIDMC already provides at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham, will give patients in the western suburbs even greater access to world class cancer care.
For the second year in a row, the American Heart and American Stroke Associations honor Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham with the Get with the Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award for excellence in stroke care.
Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham is one of only 13 Massachusetts hospitals named to Harvard Pilgrim's Hospital Honor Roll which distinguishes the top adult, acute care hospitals in the nation.
