Deaconess Glover Hospital becomes a direct affiliate of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Its major clinical programs are integrated with their counterparts at BIDMC.

2008
On January 10, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Needham breaks ground for Phase 1 of its multi-million dollar expansion which will include a state-of-the-art Emergency Department with 19 new treatment rooms, 20 private inpatient rooms, and an MRI suite.
A topping off ceremony is held at the construction site. Members of the Board of Trustees, hospital leadership and employees applaud as the traditional pine tree is hoisted to the top.
