Needham Students Learn About Cancer Screenings
BID-Needham Physicians Instruct Needham Freshmen Seminar Students
BID-Needham physicians Earl Yunes, M.D., Leonard Finn, M.D., Alan Stern, M.D., Paula McEvoy, M.D. and Anurag Das, M.D. recently presented information to Needham High School ninth grade students about the importance of health screenings and the incidence of cancer. The topic of testicular cancer was presented to all freshmen boys.
Carole MacKenzie, R.N., Director of Health Services for the Needham Public Schools reports, “This content included both
timely and important health information for adolescent boys to receive. In fact, the majority of boys attending the class stated they had not received any information about testicular cancer, or self-examinations, prior to this presentation. The feedback we received from the students was that this seminar topic was very worthwhile.”
