The Joslin Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Needham provides a multidisciplinary approach to caring for people with diabetes. Through the hospital's association with the Joslin Diabetes Center, the program provides consultative services to support patients, and their families and physicians, in the planning, supervision and monitoring of their diabetes. The program is staffed by a Joslin Diabetes Center physician and a certified diabetes nurse educator and registered dietitian from the Needham campus, who provide comprehensive diabetes management, including complete medical therapies, ongoing nutritional assessments and counseling for high risk pregnancies.
