Medical Day Care / Endoscopy

Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the Medical Day Care Department provides a convenient and comfortable setting for patients scheduled for endoscopic procedures performed by board-certified gastroenterologists Steven B. Cohen, M.D. and Sonal Ullman, M.D. 

Procedures include:

• Diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy ( click here to learn about the colonoscopy procedure)
• Diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy ( click here to learn about the gastroscopy procedure)
• Esophageal dilatation 
• Flexible sigmoidoscopy
• The "Pill Cam," which provides visualization of the entire small bowel 
• Procedures done to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of liver disease, including liver biopsy and paracentesis

Medical Day Care also provides a range of infusion services, including:

• Blood transfusions
• IV therapy infusions
• Medication administration
• Transesophageal Echo Examinations (TEE)
• Bone marrow biopsy
• Intravenous Medication Administration
