Laboratory Services
Our laboratory is conveniently located on the first floor of BID-Chelsea in the Shared Services Department and serves an adult population ranging from young adult to elders. Our skilled phlebotomists are responsible for specimen collection and preparation for transport to the Beth Israel Deaconess Clinical Laboratory for testing. As soon as testing is completed, data/results are available for BIDMC and affiliated providers to review in our online medical record system. Patient reports are printed daily by the phlebotomists at the site and distributed to physicians practicing outside of the BIDMC network.
Our department serves a culturally diverse population and members of our staff are bilingual. Our staff provides excellent patient care conveniently accessible within the community and surrounding area.
