Clifford Saper, MD, PhD
Dr. Clifford Saper is the James Jackson Putnam Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and the Chairman of the Department of Neurology at BIDMC.
Education/Training
He received his MD and PhD degrees from Washington University in St. Louis and trained in Neurology at Cornell University Medical Center in New York.
Career
His practice has consisted predominantly of movement disorder patients since 1985. He started the Parkinson surgery program at Beth Israel Hospital in 1995 and in 1996 merged that into the Movement Disorders Center founded by Dr. Tarsy at the New England Deaconess Hospital when the two hospitals merged.
Research
His research involves the relationship of sleep disorders to Parkinson’s disease.
