3rd Annual Charity Tennis Event and Dinner
All proceeds from this event will benefit the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Clinic at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
The 2010 Charity Tennis Tournament presented by the Boston Realty Advisors will be hosted at the Longwood Cricket Club in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts on Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Player will spend the day day in round-robin tennis matches on the famed grass courts, the oldest grass courts in the country, followed by a dinner reception.
Get Involved
There are several ways to get involved. You can:
Schedule of Events: Wednesday, September 29
- 11:00 a.m. – Noon: Registration and Lunch
- Noon – 5:00 p.m.: Tennis matches on grass courts
- 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Cocktail Reception and Championship Match-Up
- 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.: Cocktail Reception Continues with Program with special guests comedian Steve Calechman and Daniel Tarsy, MD. Daniel Tarsy, MD, directs the clinical, research and education programs of the Parkinson’s Disease Center at BIDMC. He is chair of the Movement Disorders Section of the American Academy of Neurology and a member of the executive board of the International Movement Disorders Society.
Optional Activities
- Noon – 1:00 p.m.: Group tennis lesson for beginners will be lead by tennis professional
- 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Peter Wayne, Ph.D., founder and director of the Tree of Life Tai Chi Center, will lead Tai Chi class

Parking
Complimentary parking is available at the rear of the club which can be accessed off of Dunster Road.
Amenities
Lockers and showers are available in the clubhouse.
Tennis and Reception Attire
- All white attire and proper tennis shoes must be worn on the tennis courts.
- Business casual attire is recommended for the reception.
