Abby Shuman Fund

We are excited to announce that a generous donation to the TMS Clinic has allowed us to create the Abby Shuman Fund to support some of our patients. We are now able to offer this assistance to both new and maintenance patients.

New Patient Criteria:
New patients are still required to pay for their initial TMS evaluations. If at this time it is determined that the patient is likely to respond to TMS, with no comorbidities, we may be able to offer them financial support through the Abby Shuman Fund. In order to qualify for the fund, patients will have to show that their income is at the hospital's free care level. All treatments for this fund will be on the Magstim TMS machine. The fund will provide up to $3,000 of financial support per patient, and patients will need to be able to continue to pay for treatments beyond that. We will be happy to still work with these patients and their insurance companies to try to get coverage for TMS sessions after this time.

Maintenance Patient Criteria:
For maintenance patients, qualifiers for the Abby Shuman Fund will be those that have responded well to TMS with 50% or greater improvement, which has lasted a minimum of 6 months. These patients will not currently be getting reimbursement from their insurance provider or other resources, and their income will be shown to be at the hospital's free care level. The fund will provide up to $2,000 of financial support per patient, and patients will need to be able to continue to pay for treatments beyond that. We will be happy to still work with these patients and their insurance companies to try to get coverage for TMS sessions after this time.
