About Neonatology
Board-certified neonatologists are on site 24 hours a day and work collaboratively with the maternal-fetal medicine staff to provide comprehensive high-risk antepartum care and counseling. Beth Israel Deaconess neonatologists also provide care in the Children's Hospital NICU and several community hospital special-care nurseries. The department staff is available for the hospital care of healthy newborns whose primary pediatric providers do not have privileges at the medical center.
