Renal Artery Disease

Narrowing or Blockage of Renal Artery

Renal artery disease — also called renal artery occlusion and renal artery stenosis — is a narrowing or blockage of the renal artery, which carries oxygen-rich blood to the kidneys. In most cases, the condition affects the arteries leading to only one kidney.

Can Lead to Permanent Kidney Damage

If not treated, it can lead to permanent kidney damage. Renal vein thrombosis means you have a blood clot blocking a vein in your kidney.
