About Dr. Smulowitz


Peter Smulowitz is an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School, completed his Masters in Public Health at the Harvard School of Public Health, and has a combined interest in health services research and health policy.

Dr. Smulowitz' research and academic interests include the impact of health care reform in Massachusetts on ED utilization, cost control and payment reform in healthcare, and alternative models of liability reform. He previously served as Health Policy Fellow for the Massachusetts State Senate Committee on Health Care Financing and currently serves as chair of the Governmental Affairs Committee for the Massachusetts College of Emergency Physicians and member of the State Legislative and Regulatory Committee for the American College of Emergency Physicians.
